Enjoy Ume drink with your children

There are many other ways to enjoy plums, not only plum wine. In this blog, we will introduce how to make ume drinks that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike.

There are only two simple ingredients!

 Plums – 1 kg

How to make

1: Soak washed green plums in water for 2 hours.

The first step is to soak the washed plums in water for 2 hours.

2: Remove the hefty part and freeze in the freezer overnight.

Remove the hefty part of the plums and freeze them overnight in the freezer. Place in a plastic bag and freeze in the freezer overnight.

3: Frozen green plums

Put the green plums in the freezer overnight to freeze them until they are crispy. Prepare the rock sugar.

4: Pack into jars and leave at room temperature.

Alternate placing the ume and rock sugar in the sterilized jars at room temperature. Place the jars at room temperature, occasionally changing the top and bottom of the jars.

5:After about a week, the plums will begin to produce plenty of juice.

The juice of the plums will be fully absorbed within a week or so. When the rock sugar has completely melted, the plums are taken out and the juice is put back into a sterilized preserving bottle and stored in the refrigerator. The removed plums are used for candied plums, etc.

6:Drinking Ume Juice by splitting it
